46 animals in 23 pairs illustrate twenty-three familiar kinds, spread across all three decks. Shapes, colors, pen locations, sizes, stairs, and behavior are artistic reconstruction choices, not a biblical inventory. Genesis 6:19–20 describes pairs; Genesis 7:2–3 distinguishes additional clean animals and birds.
Walk near a pen to hear an authentic recording. Calls are spaced, limited to your current deck, and fade with distance. Giraffes really do hum: the recording here comes from research on nocturnal humming. Sound begins only after entering walk mode and can be muted. Rhinoceroses, zebras, camels and pangolins have quiet pens: no genuine, freely licensed recording of them was found, and none has been imitated.
All audio is hosted locally. These excerpts have been limited to five seconds (the loudest stretch of each recording), converted to mono MP3, given short fades, and loudness-normalized.
